The second-annual Gateway to Reason is scheduled for St. Louis’ at the 560 Music Center this August 12-14. These year’s lineup includes speakers:
and returning G2R alum
This year’s event is being held in the 560 Music Center. Formerly a Jewish Synagogue, now the performing arts center for Washington University in St. Louis, located at 560 Trinity Avenue, University City, MO. Early bird tickets are just $50 for all three days and VIP tickets for the special dinner with the speakers including special entertainment are $200. (For groups of 10 or more, please contact the conference for reduced rates; we appreciate you bringing as many people as possible!)
Last year, St. Louis was host to our three-day freethought conference on the campus of Washington University. This sold out event was the first of its kind and featured some of the top names in the atheist and free thought community today. More than 400 attendees had access to many names such as Seth Andrews, Hemant Mehta, Mr. Wizard, Dan Barker, Vyckie Garrison, Aron Ra, Tracie Harris, Steve Hill, David Smalley, and many more wonderful speakers that support rational thinking!! While this was a first time event, many positive comments were made about the smoothness of the conference, which took a lot of effort and conference organizing. Vendors said they had great experiences with the attendees, and there was also a very relaxed and casual atmosphere for people to get to know other like-minded individuals from the free thought community. One attendee commented on how friendly the entire event felt, which speaks to the level of effort put in. (If you weren’t able to attend, or want to see the lectures again, please check out the website links at gatewaytoreason.com.) The videos are posted on YouTube and others are listed from some of the podcasters and people that attended.
I cannot express how grateful I am to the many people that stepped up and gave their time to help and to all the people who bought VIP and conference tickets– hats off to you all. A very special thanks is in order to the VIP ticket holders: without your attendance, this conference would not be possible.
With that said, both the VIP and conference sold out and we want to make sure that everyone that wants to attend is able to make it because this is sure to sell out as well. While the venue is larger and the VIP event bigger, the good words have spread and there is much more interest than last year. Ticket sales are going well and at this rate will sell out again.
