We’ve certainly enjoyed watching new groups form in your local areas the past few months, as more and more people are organizing and coming out to say that they are good and doing good without a belief in a deity. Local groups have raised money for school supply drives, outreach initiatives, tables of literature at local booths and festivals, and have also sponsored charity events such as Light the Night—helping raise awareness of charitable needs.
With this growth in the number of local groups, UnitedCoR is looking for opportunities to grow its number of local Coalitions of Reason (CoRs). Previously, we wanted a local CoR to form when 3 groups wanted to cooperate with each other. However, we’ve also noticed that, although there has been a growth in the number of local groups, they might not necessarily be in the same area as each other. So, to help form new CoRs and reach new people, we are looking for a minimum of 2 cooperating groups in the local area to join together to form a CoR.
