Tickets available for ReAsonCon 2015 (Hickory, NC)

You can now purchase tickets (and tshirts) for ReAsonCon 2015, the second secular conference in the Western Piedmont area of North Carlina sponsored by the Hickory Humanist Alliance (HHA). ReAsonCon 2015 will be held on Friday, April 24 and Saturday, April 25th at the Crowne Plaza in Hickory, NC (with a "Bar-B-Que Lunch in the park" on Saturday). Entertainment will be provided by the Scathing Atheist.

ReAsonCon 2015 attendees will hear from former Seventh-day Adventist pastor Ryan Bell again. With less than two months to go in his "Year Without God," Ryan recently said that he is "very excited to be returning to ReasonCon in April" to talk about what he has learned from his experience. He is also teaching a class with Richard Carrier in December in which Dr. Carrier will try to presuade him to "firmly stick with atheism."

ReAsonCon is intended to support and educate local humanist, atheist, agnostic, and free-thinking people and groups in North Carolina, but it is open to the public and people from all (or no) religious backgrounds and perspectives are invited to attend. Other speakers for ReAsonCon 2015 include author and activist David Fitzgerald, Skepchick Heina Dadabhoy, Phil Ferguson of SkepticMoney, and Beth Presswood and Traci Harris of the Godless Bitches Podcast. ReAsonCon 2014's  keynote speaker was historian and philosopher Richard Carrier. He gave a talk and took extended questions and answers on the "Historicity of Jesus." Ryan Bell also spoke at ReAsonCon 2014, just a few months after starting his "Year Without God." HHA is excited to have him returning for their 2015 conference.
