OMAHA Announces Heartland Humanist Conference for 2015

The Omaha Metro Area Humanist Association or OMAHA announced plans to host a Heartland Humanist Conference in Omaha, Nebraska on August 14th – 16th, 2015.  The theme of the conference is “Learning, Living, Loving – The Humanist Experience” and will have compelling talks for non-theists of all types from Atheists to Skeptics, introducing attendees to the rich history of Humanism.

Speakers at the conference will guide attendees on an exploration of the ways in which Humanists recognize life’s more profound and personal events from birth to coming-of-age ceremonies, weddings and even how to say good-bye to a loved one in a way that honors the person’s life and humanistic values.

The conference will also address Humanist celebrations, raising children with Humanist ethics, and detail information on support systems for Humanists in times of need as well as other topics of interest to Humanists and other non-theises right here in the Heartland.  The conference will end on Sunday with a picnic in the park celebrating World Humanist Day for conference attendees, speakers and Humanists and other non-theists.
