Even though most of us were unable to attend, our featured event for last month was the Reason Rally in Washington, DC.
Nearly a dozen members of the Atheist Community of Tulsa were among the crowd of over 20,000 people that gathered at the National Mall on Saturday, March 24. (That number does not even include Westboro Baptist protesters, either.)
The inaugural event featured notable speakers such as Richard Dawkins, Hemant Mehta, Adam Savage, Bill Maher, Annie Laurie Gaylor, and Nate Phelps, to name only a few. (Some of those same speakers will be at FreeOK this year!)
And in case you were wondering, that’s a picture of William Poire’ with our own Seth, better known as The Thinking Atheist. For more Reason Rally pictures, check out our ACT Facebook page or Meetup.com. The incredible turnout of secularists in Washington has made us all the more excited about FreeOK 2012. We’ll definitely be bringing our “A” game this year! Be sure to bring yours!
