Eighth Flying Spaghetti Monster (FSM) Benefit Dinner Results

$18,610.81 collected for Mid-Ohio Foodbank by Columbus CoR groups since 2012

Final results are in for the November 7, 2019 8th Annual FSM Benefit Dinner. $2,018.12 was raised for the Mid-Ohio Foodbank. 96 diners enjoyed the noodley goodness prepared by volunteers from local humanist, atheist, and skeptic groups. This fun-filled event featured a bake sale, raffle and silent auction of items donated by area businesses and local artists/donors. Performers Darla Munro and Karen Thimmes entertained diners and activities for children were available. Columbus CoR groups have collected a total of 1,954 lbs of food and $18,610.81 for the Mid-Ohio Foodbank from 2012 – 2019:

The event was held at the First Unitarian Universalist Church of Columbus and Darla Munro served as master of ceremonies. The volunteers who produced the event are members of the following groups:

  • Omnipresent Atheists (OA)
  • UU Atheists, Skeptic, Humanists (ASH)
  • Central Ohio United Non-Theists (COUNT)
  • Humanist Community of Central Ohio (HCCO)
  • Recovering from Religion – Columbus OH (RR)

Central Ohio United Non-Theists (COUNT) handled project management (Columbus CoR Coordinator Gail Ukockis), and post event activity. Recovering from Religion – Columbus OH (RR), Humanist Community of Central Ohio (HCCO), and COUNT provided gift baskets. Frank Phillips managed check-in and financial matters, Alexandria Kalika managed the bake sale, Andrew Lodge the kitchen, and Phil Radliff the silent auction and raffle.
