Dan Blinn is a humanist organizer and speaker who has presented talks to groups throughout Southern New England and beyond. A graduate of the Humanist Institute, Dan is the founding president of the Hartford Area Humanists and was one of the primary organizers (and a founding co-chair) of the Connecticut Coalition of Reason, a coalition of secular groups within Connecticut. He is also a certified Humanist Celebrant who has officiated at weddings and funerals. Dan was recognized for his work advancing humanist ideals when he was presented with the 2018 American Humanist Association’s President’s Award at the AHA Annual Conference.
Dan speaks to both secular organizations, community groups, and religious congregations. He has spoken on a wide variety of topics, including “A Conversation with a Humanist”, “Stoicism and Epicureanism: Ancient Philosophies that are Still Relevant Today”, “Humanism 101”, “Humanism 201: Living a Humanist Life”, “A Humanist’s Story”, and “The Challenge of our Time: Humanism in the Age of Trump.”
