About Us
Greater St. Louis Coalition of Reason
The Greater St. Louis Coalition of Reason (GreaterStlCoR) is a group of similar member organizations united by a rational perspective.
While our region has a long history of reason, free-thought and humanism, and newer organizations have enjoyed a dramatic increase in activity and membership, several area groups have now come together as a coalition.
By coming together we can share information, support and build a sense of a broader community. Also, GreaterStlCoR gives member organizations a chance to increase public awareness of our very existence and the various ideas we promote.

Ethical Society of St. Louis
The Ethical Society of St. Louis is a welcoming home for humanists and for anyone interested in making this life better for all people. We are an intergenerational community that provides inspiring weekly meetings with music and ethical messages, programs for children and young people, life passage ceremonies, and opportunities for ongoing education and social service. We are a humanist religious organization that does not promote supernaturalism.
St. Louis Atheist Meetup Group

The St. Louis Atheist Meetup Group is an extremely diverse group of non-believers. If you want to meet or get to know other free thinkers, please join us.
Ethical Society Mid Rivers
Ethical Society Mid Rivers is a humanist community that focuses on living ethical lives and raising ethical children. We aim to bring out the best in others, thereby in ourselves. We leave beliefs about the unknown aspects of reality to each person, provided their beliefs do not cause harm. We focus on simple basic goodness—the values of fairness and kindness found throughout humanity. We are members of the American Ethical Union.
The Rationalist Society of St. Louis
The Rationalist Society Of Saint Louis is the oldest freethought organization in the United States. We are a community of believers – we believe in insightful trust, but not faith. We believe in the incredible power of good critical thinking skills and are working to develop our ourselves in that way so as to become beacons of rationality in our wider community. We enjoy vigorous debate and educating each other on a broad variety of topics. We meet just about every week to present information and socialize. It’s always a small enough gathering that everybody gets ample opportunity to be heard. This group changes lives.
The Skeptical Society of St. Louis
TThe SSSL formed in 2008 as an organization for those interested in examining the claims of the paranormal, alternative medicine, cryptozoology, creationism, UFOlogy and all other areas of fringe and pseudo-science. We promote critical thinking, education, and using the tools of inquiry and reason to advance the scientific outlook. The SSSL offers social events, like Skeptics in the Pub, as well as lectures, workshops and field trips for those interested in science and skepticism.
WULF, Wash. U. League of Freethinkers
We are committed to freethought and the application of science and reason to the understanding of the universe and to the solving of human problems. We deplore efforts to denigrate human intelligence, to seek to explain the world in supernatural terms, and to look outside nature for salvation. We affirm humanism as a realistic alternative to theologies of despair and ideologies of violence as a source of rich personal significance and genuine satisfaction in the service of others.
