About Us
The Fargo Coalition of Reason (FargoCoR) is made up of atheist, freethought, and humanist groups working together in the Fargo area. Our coalition includes the Red River Freethinkers, NDSU’s Atheist, Agnostics, and Secular Humanists, and the Fargo-Moorhead Atheist Meetup group.
Statistically, many of your friends and neighbors in this area think and feel as you do. And the local groups that agree with and advance your views are here and welcome you! This website will help you find events to attend, activities in which to participate, people with whom to socialize, and groups to join.
Atheists and agnostics make up a significant portion of the population, both nationally and globally, outnumbering most religious groups and other minorities combined. For example, the American Religious Identification Survey reports that 12 percent of Americans are nontheistic. This places us as one of the largest minorities in America.
We don’t think that any group has all of the answers, but when you are ready to start asking questions, come and join us!
