BSSSA is a student organization of Boise State University.
Our goals are to:

• Establish a home for, and foster acceptance of, secular students.
• Continuously educate ourselves, the student population, and the community with regard to scientific discoveries.
• Encourage critical thought with regard to all belief systems and philosophies.
• Continuously educate ourselves with regard to the belief systems and philosophies of others so that we may truly understand their arguments and speak from a position of knowledge.
• Present a positive view of atheism, agnosticism, rationalism, secularism, humanism, skepticism, and all non-religious worldviews to the community.
• Establish relationships with other related organizations around the world to share ideas.
• Offer debates, educational workshops, guest speakers, movie showings, a book club, open discussion, and social gatherings for Boise State University students and the surrounding community.
• Promote and practice the open, rational, and scientific examination of the universe and our place in it.
• Promote the view that ethics and morality can be meaningfully based on humanistic and rational values.
• Advocate for the separation of church and state.

This club is here to encourage in-person conversations amongst Idahoans with a naturalistic worldview. If you are free of belief in the "supernatural", enjoy Reason and Science, and want to meet others with similar views, you are in the right place! We meet the first and third Monday of every month at 6:30PM at Papa Joe's Banquet Room (wheel chair accessible) near the BSU campus.

The mission of Humanists of Idaho is:

• To educate Idahoans about Humanism,
• To encourage rational thinking,
• To demonstrate Humanist values and fellowship in our activities, and
• To provide a support system for freethinking Idahoans.

Idaho Atheists, Inc., founded in 1998 and headquartered in Boise, Idaho, is committed to promoting quality teaching and learning on issues concerning atheists. We would like to raise public awareness and direct public attention to an alternative to theistic religion.

It is our sincere belief that atheism plays an integral part in a healthy and sensible lifestyle.

We vigorously uphold and defend the civil rights of atheists as stipulated in the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution using all available means. This includes our right to freedom from government-sponsored religion in our everyday lives as well as other separation of state and church issues. Of special concern is the secular protection of the captive audience of children in our public schools. Every child has the right to an education without being indoctrinated into various religious beliefs.

We actively help educate the public in certain matters relating to science. The long-standing philosophy of science as a method to search for knowledge has afforded the best possible explanations of our past, present, and future. Use of the scientific method, logic, and critical thinking allow for examination of new and old findings of science on a continual basis. This is paramount and essential for thinking people. Additionally, we believe that this method of discovering knowledge works so well that it gives us an evolutionary advantage over any system not scientifically based.

Idaho Atheists, Inc. is dedicated to the needs of atheists. We will work to provide services and/or resources aimed at activist, social, and volunteer opportunities for atheists and their families. Atheists, and their parents, friends, spouses, and children, will find that we are a friendly and non-threatening community of well-meaning people. We are a non-profit, educational organization serving the needs of Idaho's atheists. Our mission is to promote freedom of thought and inquiry. We define "atheist" as "one who lacks a belief in any god" or, more simply, "non-theist."

West Valley Free Thinkers is a secular organization which meets twice a month (sometimes more!) for group discussion, community, volunteering, and the occasional social event.

West Valley Free Thinkers focuses discussion around humanist, atheist, agnostic, freethought, skeptic, science, philosophy, and other non-theistic topics. All are welcome, regardless of personal beliefs, and we expect our members to come with a respectful, open and critical mind.
