Stanislaus Skeptics

Our goal is to promote and improve public perceptions of skepticism, science, and freethinking. We encourage rational, constructive debate and open exchanges of ideas and will welcome those who desire the same.

We are an organization of individuals that values science and reason over authority and dogma whose focus is on:

• Education and Information
• Community Involvement/Activism
• Social Events

In addition to other periodic events, we typically have three monthly events that we try to organize around a particular theme:

• Colloquium—a lecture, documentary film, or discussion
• Book club—discussion of a book or portion of a book
• Skeptics Theatre Movie Night—an entertaining movie

Most of our events are held at the Naraghi Hall of Science on the campus of California State University, Stanislaus. Our organization has no monthly dues, and no mandatory attendance.

Just like you, we are looking for like-minded people who have left dogma and irrationality behind.
