Last Sunday, the News-Leader published a letter in which [the Rev.] Kenneth Chumbley asked area Christians to pray for atheists when passing an atheist billboard on I-44. Springfield may be looked at as the "Buckle of the Bible Belt", but two billboards that popped up recently want to challenge that.

The billboards read "Don't Believe In God? You Are Not Alone", one off I-44 and one along highway 13. They are paid for by the Ozarks Coalition of Reason, a local atheist group.
