The Chicago Coalition of Reason (Chicago CoR) is an exciting group of organizations in the Chicago area, each of which celebrates a human-centered and naturalistic approach to life. For us, non-dogmatic and rational approaches to ethics, culture and the human experience are the most meaningful and satisfying.

Each member organization pursues this goal in its own way, with its own emphasis and atmosphere. Some hold formal meetings; some are more social.  Some groups are focused on ethical alternatives to religious worldviews; some explore paranormal claims with a skeptical eye. Some are communities or congregations, others are social networks, and still others are opportunities for intellectual exploration. Some do all of these things!

We invite you to explore all the groups, which are listed under the Member Groups tab above. Find one or two that interest you the most, and contact them. You’re sure to find a group of interesting people who are engaged in the world around them and who live meaningful, fulfilling lives based on reason and compassion.

But even if you never join a group or attend a meeting, you can help us move forward by supporting our local or national organizations, or simply by standing up for an ethical, evidence-based worldview among your friends and family.
