Center for Inquiry/Chicago
Located right in the heart of Chicago, we strive to help you live a secular, inquiring, joyful life! We are celebrating over 10 years of providing amazing monthly lectures (usually on the UIC campus), fun social events, group dinners, and plenty of opportunities to speak your mind and meet fellow freethinkers. CFI/Chicago is growing because we care about ethics, science, reason and humanist values. We invite you to check us out soon!
Secular Students Association of Elmhurst College
The Secular Students Association was started in October of 2007 as a student organization that provided a safe haven for Atheists, Agnostics, Humanists, non-theists, and other freethinkers in the Elmhurst College community. While students were hesitant at first to “come out” as secular, SSA has grown from small gatherings to one of the more active student organizations on campus with about 70 members.
Kol Hadash Humanistic Congregation celebrates Humanistic Judaism, honoring Jewish culture and tradition while empowering independent, human-centered choices. Imagine the satisfaction of truly saying what you believe and believing what you say, living your personal beliefs and Jewish culture in one voice--that’s Humanistic Judaism and Kol Hadash.
Ethical Humanist Society of Chicago
The Ethical Humanist Society of Chicago is a democratic fellowship and spiritual home for those who seek a rational, compassionate philosophy of life without regard to belief or nonbelief in a supreme being. While respectful of the faiths and traditions we have been born to, we serve as a new religion or as an alternative to religion. We care for and support each other, sharing our joys and sorrows.
Freedom From Religion Foundation Metropolitan Chicago Chapter
As a local arm of the Freedom From Religion Foundation, the nation’s largest association of atheists and agnostics, our Chapter’s mission is to uphold the constitutional principle of the separation of state and church, as well as to educate the public in matters relating to non-theism. We also serve as a social organization for freethinkers to engage with like-minded individuals. The FFRFMCC serves the metropolitan Chicago area including the counties of Cook, Du Page, Kane, Lake, McHenry and Will of the State of Illinois. Chapter membership is not required in order to receive our general mailings, actively participate in advancing the Chapter’s mission, or to attend most social events.

North Suburban Chicago Freethinkers Meetup
A casual monthly meetup to discuss current events & issues that relate to us, the non-religious. This group is open to all who do not hold any supernatural or mystical beliefs. This is a friendly group that enjoys sharing their thoughts on many subjects that concern us all. Come join us for good food, fellowship, and discussion.
Chicago Skeptics Meetup Group
This group is open to any and all people who enjoy applying a skeptical yet open-minded filtter to the world around us. Modern skepticism is embodied in the scientific method, which involves gathering data to formulate and test naturalistic explanations for natural phenomena. The key to skepticism is to continuously and vigorously apply the methods of science to navigate the treacherous straights between "know nothing" skepticism and "anything goes" credulity.
Chicago Secular Singles
This is a different kind of singles group oriented toward non-religious people of all ages, backgrounds, sexual orientation, and gender. Whether you call yourself an atheist, agnostic, bright, disbeliever, freethinker, humanist, nonbeliever, pastafarian, rationalist, secular humanist, skeptic, "spiritual but not religious," or simply were not raised in with an organized religion and have no interest in one, you are welcome to this group!
Join other atheists and freethinkers for an evening of friendly, casual conversation over dinner. There's no agenda for our discussions, but common topics of conversation include the latest news about atheist/agnostic issues, politics, philosophy, culture and entertainment
The South Suburban Freethought Community is the answer to the needs of freethinkers. A group of friendly people who see the world from a skeptical and questioning perspective. We provide an opportunity to socialize in an atmosphere that promotes critical thinking.
Unbelievers in the evangelical heart of the Midwest. This is the Meetup for you if you think that you are the only non-theist in a god saturated society. Come join a group of friends for dinner and casual conversation.
A bright is a person who has a naturalistic worldview. A bright's worldview is free of supernatural and mystical elements. The ethics and actions of a bright are based on a naturalistic worldview. If you think this is you, check out www.the-brights.net for more information on this international movement known as the Brights. In Chicago we meet every 4th Monday of the month. Visit our site for more information about our monthly meetup and other events/meetups that we may have scheduled. If you have questions about the group, please feel free to send an email to email@example.com.
